I believe that we all have this place, this town or city, where we feel totally at ease. A place that isn't home, but feels like coming home as soon as you arrive.
For me that place is London. I don't know what it is exactly, but this city intrigues me. Its diversity, its people, the artistic flow, the crowded streets and the historie that houses in the buildings and lanes. It gives me so much energy to walk those streets. But even though I've walked these streets for several times, I had never walked these streets alone..

And to be totally honest..I had never been alone before in another country than my homeland the Netherlands. And I wasn't planning on going all by myself at all. But my close friend Leilanie, who had planned coming along, had to cancel due to an overflowing agenda (she was graduating as fashion designer, had her fashion show to introduce her collection ans she had to change to work for a designer at the Paris Fashion Week...like hello!!!! Who would say no to that??).
I had made a deal with myself, to do more what makes me happy. And since I love London so much, I felt like it was time to try something new. So I booked my flight, booked my accommodation and off I went!

The moment I arrived at Victoria station I had to really get used to the overwhelming noise of all those people. But it surprises me how soon everything feels so natural. And at that very moment I realized that there was no one at all to convince of my shopping plan or to compromise with. But also no one at all that to whom I had to justify my decisions to. If I wanted to read a book in the park, I was going to read a book in the park.If I wanted to sleep all day in my hotelroom, I was going to sleep all day! And if I wanted to see a darn musical, I was going to see a musical!!! HA! And since I wanted to make the most out of my time in London, I'd booked a seat at the les Misérables Musical for the night I'd arrived in London.
AND IT WAS AMAZING!!!! The cast was amazingly talented, the songs were exactly as the needed to be(I know every song by heart, for I'm a huge les Misérables fangirl). And the venue was simply gorgeous.

My second day in London was filled with an amazing photoshoot, gorgeous girl and loads of cocktails...
But that's enough material to write about in another post.
